  • Yes, by filling out the form above with as many details as possible, your free consultation begins automatically! No payments are necessary until we begin to move forward with work.

  • Your initial fitting & final fitting are free!

  • Always bring the exact shoes and undergarments you plan to wear with the final garment. Changes in heel height or undergarments directly affect hem length and fit.

  • I am located just north of Houston, TX. I can travel to Spring, Klein, Cypress, Woodlands, Kingwood, Katy, Aldine, Houston Heights, Montrose and most surrounding areas to offer in-home fittings & delivery.

  • Rush orders (under 12 hour delivery) for alterations are available. Rush orders for custom garments in most cases are not.

  • Altering off the rack is significantly more affordable than custom clothing, though extensive alterations on an ill-fitting garment can quickly add up. Thrift flips can sometimes be a sunk cost trap!

General

  • At least one business day, in most cases.

    My goal is to make it look like your clothes were never touched. Faster, cheaper options are possible but typically temporary, meaning the extra fabric is left inside the garment.

  • See the Rates page for an understanding of each alteration range.

    If you are looking for the absolute most affordable alterations possible, please ask me for “temporary alterations”.

    Temporary alterations are where the extra fabric is left inside of the garment. These are the type of alterations that take only a few hours. Depending on location, this can create bulk and give the appearance of an obvious alteration job.

  • Taking in a garment by 1 to 2 sizes is standard. Going beyond 2 sizes often shifts the garment’s proportions and makes it look unsightly. For waistband take-ins, I do not recommend any more than 4”.

    Tip: Always buy to your largest measurement, and then we can work around that. For example: buy to fit your waist, then we take in the hem. Or buy to fit your bust, then we take in the waist.

  • If there is no excess fabric in the seam or hem, additional fabric would have to be purchased.

Alterations

  • 3 weeks minimum ahead of your event date are required.

    This allows time to produce samples, gather your measurements, confirm the design concept, order fabric, construct a mock-up if necessary, build the garment, & perform any final alterations.

  • Yes, for the most part. Reference photos, sketches, or mood boards are great starting points. However AI doesn’t always render something that is physically feasible with real world fabrics. We may not be able to bring the exact AI rendering to life, but we can definitely adapt it at close as possible.

  • Nothing is owed until you confirm you would like to move forward. Your consultation is free!

    A 20% deposit will be due after your consultation. If you’d like to move forward with a measurements session and sample creation, this deposit will be due.

    A 30% Deposit will be due when we’ve confirmed your exact concept, fabric choices, design, & fit. This deposit will allow for the true physical labor of pattern making & sewing to begin.

    The remaining balance will be due after your final fitting & after any final alterations.

  • If you supply your own fabric, it must be approved during consultation for suitability & sufficient yardage. Not all fabrics are created equal and you might have fallen in love with a fabric that actually works against the design you want.

  • Not a problem. If you tell me the general idea of what you’re looking for, I can do my best to source some photos for you. However, we have access to the same internet! Google images is always a perfect place to start.

  • In-person fittings are not necessary for every kind of garment. For example: stretchy dancewear or cosplay costumes. However if you are looking for something form-fitting, it would be in your best interest to meet in person to ensure you look & feel your best.
